The Oompa-Loompas are mysterious characters. They rarely say anything, but they sing quite well. They make up witty, rhyming songs on the spot. Which leads us to believe that these peculiar figures are not dumb.

These extraordinary individuals can be seen as Wonka's angels. Of course, if you are a God, you must have your angels.

Oompa-Loompas

The oompa-loompas are concerned about the children's choices and are like Wonka's messengers. Similar to angels, who are God's messengers and supposedly report to him.

Listen to the attached video of the 1971 film. The lyrics of the songs are a good indication of how important the children's decisions are to the Oompa-Loompas.

"And I saw, and I heard a voice of many angels round about the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; saying with a great voice, "Worthy is the Lamb that hath been slain to receive the power, and riches, and wisdom, and might and honor, and glory, and blessing" (Revelation 5:11-12)

The above quotation from the Bible relates to the Oompa-Loompas. There is an endless amount of Oompa-Loompas in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory much like the amount of angels in Heaven. Also, the angels are singing. This parallels with the Oompa-Loompas unison in song.
